Mission

The progress of science and education over the century has made possible dramatic improvement in the welfare of society. Scientific research and education provide unlimited resources of knowledge, supporting economic and social development . With this in mind, SBMMA’s major objective is to promote business, education and science, both in Saudi Arabia and in the UK, using a variety of platforms and by various means. These include business, science and education related conferences and academic institutions, as well as seminars, publications, presentations, and training and networking events.
Today, business and science are primarily international in nature, and the enrichment of business and science requires close collaboration among scholars and scientists throughout different countries. UK, known as a world leader in higher education and scientific research, and Saudi Arabia, a rapidly growing and influential country with a young population and huge investment in research and higher education, offer unique opportunities for business, scientific and educational cooperation. SBMMA’s goal is to promote such cooperation between the two countries.

In many countries, the interest of the general public in science and academic activities tends to decline, with many young people losing their interest in science as they grow older. Saudi Arabia and the UK are no exception. Our objective is to promote businesses, science and science-based activities and initiatives among the young people; to provide opportunities for them to realize their full potential, and actively encourage them to pursue academic advancement; start their own businesses; and develop science and research-focused careers.

SBMMA aims to establish a rich membership base, to include Saudi academics, British academics, and GCC-British academics. Most of our members will be businessmen, scientists and scholars who are actively involved in business, scientific and educational activities. It is important for these members to develop their full potential, and become productive members of their respective academic and scientific fields. To achieve this, we aim to promote friendship and fellowship among our members by organising social and professional activities.
